Luigi Trenti is an architect graduated in Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence in 1992. Since 1993 he is a member of ADI of which he founded Delegazione Toscana in 2006, becoming President and Coordinator of the Territorial Design Observatory. He has worked as a designer since 1992. In the field of Design for Living he has collaborated with Targetti, Osram, GE, Lipparini, Martini, Casprini, Ycami, Ciatti, Gessi, Cisal, Composad, Valenti. He was Head of Design for Targetti, winner of the Compasso d'Oro Award in 1998. With the Lesena lamp made by Martini in 1998, selected by Castiglioni for the Intel Award, winner of the Young & Design Award and exhibited at the Bio of Ljubljana, has introduced a stylistic concept that has inspired many products also in other production sectors. In the field of Design for the Environment and Work he collaborated with Radim Group, Ciemme Sistemi, TIM, Diebold, Sodi Scientifica. In the field of Personal Design he collaborated with Pineider, Locman, Tibaldi, Ferrari from Varese, Myron Adler, Maserati, Bugatti, Jaquet Droz, Piquadro. For Pineider he designed Egosphere the first variable profile fountain pen, selected by Michele de Lucchi for The International Design Yearbook and Jolly which re-launched the theme of the pen covered in leather, then included in the collection of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. Numerous awards achieved; the last ones for Cisal's Poker tap are the Yatao Award in Canton and the I.D. Award in New York.
